“When God takes out the trash, don’t go digging back through it. Trust God.” ~ Amaka Imani Nkosazana
Have you ever heard the phrase “don’t sweat the small stuff?” Why do we insist on rustling through life’s dumpster to find things to worry over? Only when pursuing what we can extract from this life vs. what we can bring to it, does worry come knocking. As kingdom people, if we are truly resting in the Lord, our lives are not our own. We are not worried about our little schemes and plans; we are focused on advancing God’s kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. We must remain focused on contributing to life rather than taking from it. Nkosazana is correct; we need to stay out of the dumpster and persistently and diligently love and serve those around us. There truly is no better way to live.

Prayer
Lord, thank You for rescuing me from myself. Please help me rest in You, and remain focused on advancing the kingdom versus living for myself and the world. In Your Spirit and Name, I pray these things. May Your will not mine always materialize, now and forever, Amen.
