When you are spiritually connected, you are not looking for occasions to be offended, and you are not judging and labeling others. You are in a state of grace in which you know you are connected to God and thus free from the effects of anyone or anything external to yourself. ~ Wayne Dyer
When was the last time you played the judge? I am not talking about using wise judgment to make decisions that matter for everyday life. I am talking about the last time you felt self-righteous enough to internalize or vocalize your judgment of another human being. Let’s keep it real; with easy access to the day’s news and information at our fingertips, within seconds, you can find something or somebody to judge. The media feeds off of our human tendency to want to judge and gossip about others. “If it bleeds, it reads,” as they say in the media industry. It’s easier to judge others than it is to look at ourselves.
In the bible, we are warned on many occasions about what happens to us spiritually when we take it upon ourselves to judge others. “Don’t judge, so that you won’t be judged. 2 You’ll receive the same judgment you give. Whatever you deal out will be dealt out to you. (Matthew 7:1-2).” I would encourage you to take this seriously. There will come a day, whether we believe it or not, when you will stand in front of your creator and review your life here on earth. If this scripture is true, which I believe it is, how worried should you be?
What’s amazing about God is God’s love for humankind, despite our wicked ways. Given our extremely self-centered and evil ways, God still desires to heal us from our fallen nature and bring us into a right relationship with the Creator of the universe. If we are busy playing God ourselves by constantly casting judgment on the people, places, and things of this earth, we do not need God because we are God. Only God can judge creation because, as humans, we are just another part of creation.
Where ever you are on your spiritual journey, please take the spotlight of judgment off of others, and put it on yourself. Our job in the spirit world is to love God and all the people about us, not judge God’s creation. It’s never too late to hand the spotlight back to God and start seeing others as God sees them. God sees all of humankind as they truly are, simply God’s kids. God loves all of God’s kids equally, and so should we. Today is a great day to start loving and stop judging.
All-knowing God, help me not to judge others. I am quick to judge others based on appearances or situations. Help me to have a more compassionate heart. Place in my mind the thoughts of caring. Give me the heart of service, not of a skeptic. In Your Spirit and Name, I pray these things. May Your will and not mine be done now and forever. Amen.¹

I’m learning alot about myself and to say I was not judgemental I would be lieing, and when that day this kid shows up to his creator I hope he opens his arms up and grabs me with a huge hug! I am not perfect and not a Saint, but this is a good challenge for me to not be judgemental with myself and others. We are all God’s children. AMEN!!!

It’s a practice, not perfection, my friend. At the end of the day, it’s all about the heart. You have a heart for God and others, keep building on loving God and others, and the judgment of others will fade.
