“There is no passion for being found in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.” ~ Nelson Mandela
Why settle for less when the best this life has to offer is waiting for an invitation from you. We all come from different walks of life, and fate determines our birth and our early beginnings. If we are fortunate enough to survive the early stages of life, then the possibilities are limitless for what we can achieve in life, especially when we quit settling for less than what life has to offer. Next, we must choose to live our lives on either a material or spiritual basis—either way, why settle for less when the best is there to endure.
If you choose to live a worldly life, then success is defined by your material well-being. Knowledge and education are a must if you want the most out of life. There are no limits to what you can learn if you put forth the effort. Someone once said, “when the student is ready, the teacher will appear.” Next, it’s imperative to surround yourself with successful people who have achieved what you desire in life. You must also commit to working honestly, work smart, and work hard to become all that you can be. The truth be told, despite the depth of your education and the material success you earn, you are still settling for less if you fail to seek the life God has intended for you.
Why settle for less when the One who created the universe offers you the best opportunity to live life to the fullest. Most people fall for the delusion that they can become happy, joyous, and free if they just had more, don’t let that be you. The truth is God didn’t create human beings to become material beings but rather spiritual beings. Anything less than putting our will in line with God’s is by default settling for less. God gave every person the gift of free will, which means you get to choose what you will settle for in this life, so why settle for less? It’s only when we put the spiritual ahead of the material that we will ever have a chance to experience the most that this has to offer. The moment you stop living for yourself and start living for others will be the moment you quit settling for less and start experiencing God’s best for your life.
My Creator, thank You for this gift called life. If I am honest, God, there are times when life seems unfair. When I look around, I get confused about the real purpose in life and become envious and jealous of the material success others seem to enjoy. I fall prey to the delusion that I can achieve satisfaction in this life if I only had more of what others seem to have instead of being grateful for what I do have. Please heal my impaired vision and remove the discouragement from my heart that causes me to settle for less when You desire nothing more than the best for my life. Please help me shed my selfish and materialistic nature, commit my life to love and serve others, and quit settling for less, especially when Your best is at my request. In Your Spirit and Name, I pray these things. May Your will not mine always materialize, now and forever. Amen.
