Claim Your Inheritance – Matthew 5:5
March 10, 2024
Hello Kingdom Family,
Welcome to our Jesus-centered community. We are glad you are listening to today’s message.
Our purpose statement is “We are People Helping People Experience a Jesus-centered Life.”
This eight-week series examines the most famous ever given, The Sermon on the Mount, by none other than Jesus himself. Jesus’s audience was the outcasts of his day, and they were the first to engage this incredible message and design for living. We will unpack the nine Beatitudes presented by Jesus. It’s a series you don’t want to miss. Today, we unpack Matthew 5:5 and look at the first Beatitude and what it means to be humble and inherit the land.
Questions to ponder:
- What does it mean to be “humble.”
- How would you describe what it means to be humble, experience humility, or, if you wish, meekness?”
- What does it mean to be humble from a Biblical perspective?
- How is it possible to be humble and yet wait on an inheritance?
- How do we experience the promise of an inheritance living in America in the 21st century? Is that even possible?

Today we return to our new 40-Day Growth Campaign called 40 Days of Prayer. The title of today’s message is “How To Pray For Healing and Restoration?” Our main scripture is 2 Chronicles 7:12-22 (CEB). In today’s message, we learn how to pray for healing and restoration for ourselves and others. The key takeaway is that with every promise, there is a premise, meaning we have a part to live into with our relationship with God; it’s not a one-way experience.

Today we unpack Matthew 24:36-44 from the CEB. Pastor Harold Long delivers a message titled “Only God Knows When & Be Grateful You Don’t.” Waiting on God to respond requires great humility and patience. In today’s message, we look honestly at the subject of “waiting” and why humans struggle to wait. We also wrestle with the Second Coming of Christ, The Rapture, and Salvation.

Today we continue in our fall 2020 sermon series titled “Finding God in Popular Culture.” Our message today is titled “A Simple Kind Of Faith.” During this message, Pastor Harold takes us back to the 1960s to help understand what the culture was like during the 60s’ but also to help us discover God in the Pop Culture at that time. We look at two clips during the message, one from the movie “To Kill A Mocking Bird,” and the other from a sitcom in the 60s’ called “The Andy Griffith Show.” In both clips, Pastor Harold shows us the influence scripture had on these two pieces of art. Pastor Harold also unpacks Mark 10:13-16 and helps us understand what Jesus meant when he said that “we must become simple like little children.” He then teaches us how we can return to this childlike dependence on God.
