Let The Journey Begin – Acts 16:1-10
February 11, 2024
Hello Kingdom Family,
Welcome to our Jesus-centered community. We are glad you are listening to today’s message.
Our purpose statement is “We are People Helping People Experience a Jesus-centered Life.”
This six-week series examines the remarkable spread of the gospel and the kingdom of God from Jerusalem, to Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the world. Jesus has commissioned every one of his followers to be his witness by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Today we unpack Acts 16:1-10. We start by doing a recap of Acts Chapters 9-15, then dive into these Four subjects:
1. Paul’s Second Missionary Journey
2. The Role of Faith and the Holy Spirit
3. What God’s Will is for Our Lives
4. Super Bowl LVIII Between The Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers. Pastor Harold plays a video from 2020, which is a wager between him and a member from church, Barry, who lost a friendly contest the last time the Chiefs and 49ers played: https://youtu.be/P-qgYOzX7E8
He is also show a video from the Skit Guys covering the subject of “God’s Will.”: https://youtu.be/5n7ip-VzrtY?si=fZaiZR-Pv90oW7r-

In today’s message, we unpack 2 Samuel 11 & 12. We look at the life of David and Bathsheba, focusing on the sin of David and the need for healing by Bathsheba. We wrestle with why it’s important for forgiveness and healing to take place to experience Emmanuel, God, with us. We also learn how Emmanuel, God with us, means that as Christians, we are Jesus with skin to the world.

Today we return to our new 40-Day Growth Campaign called 40 Days of Prayer. The title of today’s message is “How To Pray For Healing and Restoration?” Our main scripture is 2 Chronicles 7:12-22 (CEB). In today’s message, we learn how to pray for healing and restoration for ourselves and others. The key takeaway is that with every promise, there is a premise, meaning we have a part to live into with our relationship with God; it’s not a one-way experience.
