Out With The Old & In With The New – New Year’s Eve Sermon 2023
December 31, 2023
Hello Kingdom Family,
Welcome to our Jesus-centered community. We are glad you are listening to today’s message.
Our purpose statement is “We are People Helping People Experience a Jesus-centered Life.”
In today’s message, we unpack 2 Corinthians 5:16-21 and discover how to make changes in 2024 that last, not superficial New Year resolutions.
Paul wrote to the church he had founded in Corinth and the house churches in Achaia (A-Chi-A). Paul was in Macedonia when he wrote 2 Corinthians in response to good news from Titus that the church had repented and longed to see Paul again. The book of 2 Corinthians is quite relevant today, especially for those who feel called to Christian ministry. As we transition from 2023 to 2024, it’s a great time to allow this letter from Paul to help shape our goals and resolutions as individuals and the church as a whole, so our message today will center on how we can do just that.
Before you listen to the message, you are encouraged to go to our website and download the lesson bulletin for this message, dated December 31, 2023. The publication contains questions to reflect on as an individual, couple, or small group. You can find them on the home page by clicking the Bulletins and Lesson Plans tab. Today’s message is “Out With The Old & In With The New.”

Today we return to our new 40-Day Growth Campaign called 40 Days of Prayer. The title of today’s message is “How To Pray For Healing and Restoration?” Our main scripture is 2 Chronicles 7:12-22 (CEB). In today’s message, we learn how to pray for healing and restoration for ourselves and others. The key takeaway is that with every promise, there is a premise, meaning we have a part to live into with our relationship with God; it’s not a one-way experience.

We hope you enjoy this message on the Serenity Prayer. The Serenity Prayer is said millions of times daily, especially in recovery rooms. In today’s message, we unpack the message by breaking it down by acting out a skit, where one person is the voice of God and the other and regular person struggling to live life on life’s terms. We hope this portrayal of the Serenity Prayer gives it more depth and weight in your spiritual walk.
