Trouble is Certain for People of Faith – Acts 4:1-5:11
January 21, 2024
Welcome to our Jesus-centered community. We are glad you are listening to today’s message.
Our purpose statement is “We are People Helping People Experience a Jesus-centered Life.”
This six-week series examines the remarkable spread of the gospel and the kingdom of God from Jerusalem, to Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the world. Jesus has commissioned every one of his followers to be his witness by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Despite challenges from outside and within, the kingdom of God continues to advance. Today, we continue to be his witnesses and have a vital role in the continuing story of Jesus’s unstoppable kingdom. We are in week three of our New Year message series titled “Unstoppable.” Today we unpack Acts 4:1-5:11, and how the unstoppable movement of the disciples and Holy Spirit keeps rolling.
Resisting the devil and overcoming temptation is not just about saying no but also saying yes to the life God desires for us to live. The following video referenced during the sermon helps illustrates this point: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yi4UnOmu_kw.

Thank you for joining us for today’s message. Today Pastor Harold unpacks Matthew 18:21-35 and what it means to forgive someone else. We learn that forgiveness is what Jesus commands from all of us as kingdom people, and if we fail to live it out, we are no better than the example of the unforgiving lord in today’s parable. Pastor Harold helps us discover what leads to an unforgiving heart, which is fear, anger, and resentment. We are reminded that we need to be on the lookout for the Big Three R’s, Resentment, Resistance, and Revenge. Pastor Harold’s demonstrates his popular teaching on a term he coined “Tube Theology.” This message is a message you don’t want to miss and one that will help liberate you spiritually, especially if you have been stuck or not experiencing the presents of the Holy Spirit in your life.
