“Never play leapfrog with a unicorn.”

If we are honest with ourselves, we all take risks in varying degrees that bring the possible repercussions of evil into our lives. The current worldwide pandemic we are all experiencing is a great example. How many people, without fail, practice the 3 W’s, wear your mask, wash your hands, and watch your distance? Lord, in 2021, remove from me this rebellious attitude that leads me to make decisions based on self that later puts me and others in a position to be hurt.
One of the many tools of financial planners is measuring risk tolerance. Some people are unwilling to take much risk, and others are willing to risk much, sometimes everything. When it comes to living in the world, we all approach life with some measure of risk. Now that we are living in the world of the Spirit, the desire to take risks by living outside of God’s will have hopefully lessened if not ceased altogether. My creator, grant me the strength today to measure the risk, and count the cost before making foolish decisions that will only invite evil into my life.
