“If you were all alone in the universe with no one to talk to, no one with which to share the beauty of the stars, to laugh with, to touch, what would be your purpose in life? It is another life; it is love, which gives your life meaning. This is harmony. We must discover the joy of each other, the joy of challenge, the joy of growth.” ~ Mitsugi Saotome
When was the last time you visited a home, event, group, church, special occasion, etc., where you walked away full of passion, energy, and spiritual intoxication? You were on fire, and you couldn’t wait to experience it again. As you reflect on your experience, ask yourself why you don’t seem to share this same vibe consistently in the circles you call home. What would it take for your context to experience what you crave? Who is responsible for creating such a culture?
If you embrace God’s design for living and God has transformed your life, then it’s your responsibility to create the vibe you crave. God’s Word (Scripture), tradition, reason, and experience will help you establish the fellowship you desire, and the Spirit of God will take care of the rest. Your task is to take the lead and help create a spiritual environment where ever you are led.
Whether you are at home, work, church, attending a social event, on vacation, etc., it’s your job to help create space where people can experience the Spirit of God and have their soul moved by the spiritual vibe present in the current space. You want people to have a lot of fun, feel connected, and leave spiritually intoxicated. The reality is not everyone will, but it won’t be because the opportunity didn’t exist. With God’s help, you can create the spiritual vibe you crave everywhere you go; you don’t have to wait to experience it somewhere else; how cool is that!
Spirit of God, thank You for being my friend and helping me create the spiritual atmosphere I crave. Please remove any doubt or negativity that prohibits me from helping You create a spiritual environment where others can thrive. Your vibe is intoxicating and provides the experience my soul so desperately desires and needs. In Your Spirit and Name, I pray these things. May Your will not mine always materialize, now and forever. Amen.
