“Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for.” ~ Epicurus
As we move toward the midway point of 2021, the world is attempting to adjust to all the changes. In America, we have a new President and many changes with the new administration’s policies. As COVID-19 numbers fall in America, folks are attempting to adapt to all the changes to return to normal. Around the world, especially in India, COVID-19 is on the rise and crippling the hospitals and hopes of the Indian people. Amid the pandemic finding contentment with the current times can be challenging.
How are you managing the things you cannot change? Are you adjusting, or does life seem impossible? What about the things you can change? Are you taking the necessary actions? For the grey areas, are you asking God for the wisdom to know the difference? These turbulent times require us to stop and count our blessings, despite the social unrest, political divide, and pandemic. As people of faith, we can be content that we have a relationship with God and that we are never alone, despite how rough the waters have become. What blessings are you experiencing where you can find contentment during these unsettling times.
Lord, thank You for the many blessings you have poured out on my life. My family and friends have suffered heavily during these times, so today, I boldly pray for healing and comfort for everyone. In Your Spirit and Name, I pray these things. May Your will not mine always materialize, now and forever. Amen.
